From Harford County Public Schools:
North Harford Middle School students and staff (NHMS) will remember and honor family members for their service to our great Country in a dedication program on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at 12:30 p.m. at the school. Seventh grade students began the Wall as a service learning project, with the support of the NHMS Future Teachers of America. The Wall now honors more than 300 members of the United States military, and continues to grow. Each branch of the military has added its flag to the display, and the Aberdeen Proving Ground Color Guard will present the colors during the dedication.
School officials attending the event include: Board of Education of Harford County Vice President Leonard D. Wheeler, newly appointed Board Member Nancy Reynolds, Superintendent of Schools Robert M. Tomback, Executive Director of Middle School Performance Barabara P. Canavan and Social Studies Supervisor George J. Toepfer. There will also be several elected officials in attendance, including Senator Barry T. Glassman, Susan Clark for Delegate H. Wayne Norman, Harford County Councilman Chad R. Shrodes and County Executive David R. Craig. In addition, Commander Mike McFadden of the American Legion Post #182, as well as representatives from Aberdeen Proving Ground, will be onsite.
