From the Women’s Giving Circle of Harford County:
Bel Air, Md., July 15, 2011 – The Women’s Giving Circle of Harford County is accepting grant applications from nonprofits based in the county whose programs benefit women, children and/or families. Applications are being accepted until Thursday, September 1.
The grant application may be accessed by visiting www.cfharfordcounty.org/apply-for-a-grant.
The Women’s Giving Circle of Harford County, established in December, 2010, is providing one-year grants of up to $2,500 each for specific programmatic, operational or staff projects.
To be considered, organizations must be a registered 501(c) (3) nonprofit providing services in Harford County that benefit women, children and/or families. The grants will be announced in November and administered by the Community Foundation of Harford County.
Organizations interested in applying for a grant must submit a completed application to the Community Foundation of Harford County by 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 1.
“Through the collaboration of our members, we feel that our grants will have a positive impact in helping the non-profit community to increase the effectiveness of their programs, said Jayne Klein, president of the Woman’s Giving Circle of Harford County. We expect to distribute close to $20,000 to improve the lives of women and their families in Harford
County.”
