So you have to bring in someone from Delaware, where the sheriff, maybe the sheriff of a county, but is not the law enforcement authority in the county. Wasn’t this the same guy who wanted to mark the sheriff’s cars with lights and the DMV said they wouldn’t renew their registration. Gotta love the speakers you guys get. The sheriff’s in Delaware are in charge of the court security and warrants. The policing belongs to the county police forces.
Mike Welsh says
The policing in Baltimore, Howard and Ann Arundel counties belong to county police forces, along with many other counties in Maryland. What is your point?

Dear Voter, If you are curious about our choice of speaker then please come to the meeting and hear for yourself. Sheriff Christopher will be talking about the constitutional role of the sheriff and the dangers citizens face when that level of protection is removed. It is a topic he is familiar with and that is why he was invited. He has been discussing this far and wide and we feel lucky to have such an accomplished and experienced speaker. I first heard him at IOTC with Sheriff Mack. If you are in law enforcement then I encourage you to bring friends and colleagues. Hope to see you there.

my point is that why are they bringing someone in from Delaware and the website ask for donations. How classy is that. Why don’t they just post a site for donation instead of bringing him in and speaking. Oh and Mike…don’t be so rude. You don’t have any problem giving us your point of view.
Mike Welsh says
Didn’t mean to be rude, just didn’t understand your point. I suppose if most folks don’t want to hear what the Sheriff has to say, then attendance will be sparse.
