From teh Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
On Friday, July 19, 2013, Sheriff L. Jesse Bane and members of the Command Team attended the First Annual Harford Sheriff’s Foundation Breakfast. The breakfast was attended by nearly 30 community members who have been instrumental in making the Foundation’s first year a success.
Sheriff Bane thanked the guests and Board President Monica Worrell for their support of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. He remarked about the importance of the Foundation, noting that there are several projects which support our communities that benefit from the partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and the Foundation. Bane further explained that without a non-profit organization’s oversight, funding for these projects may not be possible or at the very least their success limited. Bane urged the group to take time to decide how they would like to provide future support and described a few projects they might be interested in, including traffic and safety seat initiatives, Badges for Baseball, youth programs, as well as, providing funding for specialized training and equipment.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation’s mission is to charitably support Harford County Sheriff’s Office law enforcement men and women by meeting a financial need beyond what is normally provided through public sector support. In doing so, the Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation will strive to educate and raise community awareness about the needs of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone interested in getting involved with the Harford Sheriff’s Foundation can call Monica Worrell at 443/966-0781 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
