From the Harford County Public Library:
Stories from American artist Georgia O’Keeffe filled the Bel Air Library on March 2. With over 120 in attendance, local professor Colleen Webster portrayed O’Keeffe during a living history presentation that highlighted O’Keeffe’s struggles and accomplishments that followed her to rise to iconic status in American art.
Webster is an English professor at Harford Community College, an award-winning writer and speaker for the Maryland Humanities Council whose interest in women in the arts inspired her to create several one-woman shows that are educational, entertaining and inspirational. Webster’s next living history performance in Harford County will be a fascinating look at the life of poet Emily Dickinson at the Havre de Grace Library on April 8 at 6:30 pm. Registration can be made by calling (410) 939-6700.
