DressYourGlow High School Prom Dress Giveaway March 15 in Edgewood

On Saturday, March 15, 2014, InTheGlow will host the DressYourGlow Prom Dress Giveaway at the Ramada Conference Center, 1700 Van Bibber Road, Edgewood, Maryland, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. More than 1,000 gently used formal dresses will be repurposed at this fun and empowering event by high school women attending proms this spring. All young women planning to attend a prom or spring formal are invited to the DressYourGlow Prom Dress Giveaway. InTheGlow does not evaluate need for the dresses. A $10.00 donation is requested to attend the event, and each young woman will leave with a beautiful dress, a goody bag filled with coupons from local businesses and a chance to win valuable gift certificates and stunning jewelry.

In addition to formal dresses, the DressYourGlow Prom Dress Giveaway will offer skin care and makeup demonstrations for teens from 10 a.m. – 2p.m. Local businesses have donated an exciting variety of samples, coupons and gift certificates to this event. Young women attending the DressYourGlow Prom Dress Giveaway also will have the opportunity to win gift certificates for spray tanning sponsored by Glow- Bronzing Studio, gift certificates for updos sponsored by Messana’s Salon and Spa, gym passes to the YMCA, a Prom Day Special sponsored by Jordan Thomas Salon and Spa and much, much more!

InTheGlow is an organization empowering women with positivity and optimism–creating a beautiful self-image from the inside out! The DressYourGlow campaign, our first initiative, began in April 2013, and all dresses collected have been donated to InTheGlow from the community. InTheGlow offers the opportunity for women to help other women. Founded on the basis of paying it forward, we ask that all dresses borrowed from the event be returned so we can continue to serve young women in our community with our positive, confidence-building initiatives.
