These individuals are described as three African American males, who had their faces partially covered and were wearing various non-descript clothing. At least two of these males were armed with handguns. During the confrontation one of the males struck a family member in the head (medical attention refused) while demanding money.
There was an apparent struggle between the suspects and Thomas Anderson. It was during this struggle that Thomas Anderson was shot in the upper torso, and died at the scene. The suspects fled the location in an unknown direction with a small amount of U.S. currency.
