From Bob Peck:
GAHLER CONTINUES WITH HIS NEGATIVITY!
Recently I was made aware of an inquiry that Gahler made to the Maryland State Police regarding a former close friend and colleague of his, Chuck Moore.
The inquiry questioned the integrity of Chuck Moore, who attended the press conference and dedication of Eagle 1 on December 03, 2013, the recently acquired helicopter by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. He also questioned Chuck Moore’s tour of the Harford County detention center on December 18, 2013. In the request, Gahler asked for a copy of Captain Chuck Moore’s record of leave for both dates.
The first thought that comes to mind, why Gahler was interested in Chuck Moore’s leave time and his appearances at the press conference and the detention center.
My second thought, why did he try and disgrace and possibly initiate an internal investigation against a well-respected Commander and a friend. It should be noted that Chuck Moore was Gather’s best man in his wedding. Gahler, who is also retired from the Maryland State Police is well aware of the effects that a complaint has on a Trooper, even ones that are unfounded.
Gahler has proven to me that he cares only about himself and not the people of Harford County or the Sheriff’s Office. Gahler lost my support in 2010 because of his ongoing negativity and arrogance.
On my Bob Peck for Sheriff Facebook Page you will find the letter Gahler sent to Colonel Marcus Brown the Superintendent of the Maryland State Police, a message from retired Captain Chuck Moore to Harford County voters and a message that I have sent to my friends, family and supporters.
If he treats his friends the way he treated Chuck Moore, I can only imagine how he would treat a deputy or a citizen of Harford County that does not agree with his management style.
I will continue to show my support for Sheriff Jesse Bane.
