ELECT LARRY HOGAN TO SPEAK AT DECEMBER 1 HARFORD COUNTY INAUGURATION CEREMONY
Harford County native son, incoming County Executive Barry Glassman plans remarks outlining his initiatives.
A Harford County inauguration ceremony for the newly elected county executive, council president and council members to take the oath of office. Maryland Gov.-elect Larry Hogan plans to attend and make public remarks. Harford County native son, incoming County Executive Barry Glassman plans remarks outlining his initial steps to improve service to citizens, repeal the rain tax and rightsize local government in light of ongoing fiscal pressures. Incoming Council President Richard C. Slutzky will also deliver public remarks. The county executive and council president will be available for media interviews following the ceremony.
This inclusive event will also honor the county’s heritage and celebrate future generations, featuring music performed by students from Edgewood, North Harford, C. Milton Wright and John Carroll high schools; an uplifting performance by the St. James A.M.E Church Gospel Choir; young patriots from Churchville Elementary School; color guard from Aberdeen Proving Ground and honor guard from Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is announcing the swearing-in of Sheriff-Elect Jeffrey R. Gahler. Mr. Gahler’s swearing-in will take place on December 1. The ceremony will be held in the auditorium of The John Carroll School in Bel Air. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. There will be a reception at The John Carroll School immediately following the ceremony.
