The City of Aberdeen would like to welcome retired Deputy Police Chief Stephen A. Smith as the City’s next Council-member.
After the sudden passing of beloved Councilman Bruce Garner, and with much thought, Mayor Michael Bennett along with the Council’s approval welcomed Smith to sit on the dais, and to help finish out the term in which Councilman Garner had started. We wish him the best of luck!
Please tell me that this is some kind of joke. This guy is so tightly connected to the Mayor that he would break his nose if the Mayor turned too fast.
If it’s a joke, it’s sure not funny. One of the worst law enforcement officers ever in Aberden. A devisive snitch and rat. Never trusted by his fellow officers. The Chief used to keep him on the county task force just to keep him out of Aberdeen.. The bigger joke is that he fits in.
It’s not what you know…..it’s who you know. This is what is happening in Harford County. Im sure there are more qualified people to fill the position. Gotta love backroom politics, They have no problem spending our money, but don’t want us to know what is going on. I’m sure he is a good guy, but really. First, Aberdeen and now Bel Air. I’m sure the voters are not getting their money worth.
