Everyone listed in the article is African American. What are YOU on?
SoulCrusher says
Search Warrants are awful intrusive to only net Possession Charges. I’m not convinced this operation was a success. I’d rather hear about the fool over at the jail that got caught trying to get the drugs in…..
Concerned Teacher says
Did you even read the article? Three of the four arrested were charged with possession with intent to distribute, significantly more than simple possession. Wow…
SoulCrusher says
Agreed. I was referring to the use of a Search and Seizure Warrant to find next to nothing in that particular case. How do you feel about the use of the SWAT team to serve the warrants? More specific, How do you feel about the pointing of an AR-15 at one of your former students over drug use? Are you really a Concerned Teacher?
Concerned Teacher says
Actually, one of those *was* a former student, and I’m perfectly ok with it. Protecting thousands of my former students from one that is capable of causing significant harm, mayhem, and criminal activity would qualify as an appropriate use of a show of force. I will also say that the use of the SWAT team was probably a result of the location in which they served the warrant and the expectation of resistance. That there was no resistance does not eliminate the expectation.
SoulCrusher says
Whatever, after that last comment, I’m convinced your an UNCONCERNED Teacher and your attitude towards the way the searches were handled is quite frankly, insane. Police don’t need to use SWAT teams to serve warrants of these nature, period. Are you sure you’re not a COP trying to justify the use of SWAT teams when they are not necessary? I assume you have no problem with Martial Law either……
Concerned Teacher says
After many years of reading of some of the most idiotic, vile, racist, sexist, homophobic, petty, and juvenile responses to posts on this website, I have long since stopped caring what you or anyone else thinks of me, or thinks what I am. What you think about me is none of my business, although I will correct your poor assumption. I am a teacher, although I no longer work for HCPS. The above mentioned Troy Mosley came within a fraction of an inch of breaking my nose one year when I was trying to break up a fight he started, and I’m glad he’s no longer on the streets, even if it is just for a little while.
Soul Crusher 2 says
So, within a fraction of an inch?
I’ll bet that you – even if for a brief moment – wish they brought corporal punishments back to schools. Back when it was legal, there was far less crap from kids.
“Supervised Spankings” – the parents that took issue with that are the same ones you see dragging their kids through Walmart by the wrists, screaming at them, when the kid only wanted a damn Matchbox car that costs a dollar.
Yet, these same parents are the ones who put their kids into an Escalade with $10,000 rims and tires.
Al J Thong says
If some folks from the east side of Aberdeen I have encountered knew that you had a kilo of pot at your house they would have done an entry and search of their own. Probably at that point you would welcome a swat team member.
SoulCrusher says
Doubt it. Besides, the weight you refer to was of “wet” weight, with all the leaves, stems and roots attatched. Everyone knows you don’t use POT wet. In actuality, I may have had 8 ounces of usable material. I don’t think anybody would be willing to risk the removal of their head from their torso over eight ounces……..
observer says
I have to wonder how much of this represents one person using the police to carry out a grudge against another.
hmmm... says
That’s the first thing that occurred to me… careful parking in front of your neighbors house in Aberdeen, they might take to Facebook and claim you’re running a meth lab and you’re door gets kicked in at 2am…

Amusing! says
……or maybe we are starting to see people have a voice in their community! Many people in these communities….be it Aberdeen or wherever….are tired of seeing random junkies walking to the same houses time and time again…cars repeatedly driving through the neighborhood at all times of the day only to park for 10 min and then hurry out….and then the dumb!@$* that have the balls to sit in their car and get high down the street from the house they just came from!!! See…..some people, you know, blue collar hard working members of society…dont want to see this from their front porch or window!
This is whats wrong with people today….some of you see this as “nosy neighbors” or “snitches”…..and I guess if thats th case then your probably part of the reason for this degeneration of society….no ones trying to “win” the war on drugs anymore….but people do have some pride in how their community looks! You can tell yourself all day that you dont care what your neighbors do and that its their buisness….but how would you like that type of activity going on next to you?? (Unless your the waste thats doing it)…..
SoulCrusher says
I don’t know. From reading the article, it states that a SWAT team was used to conduct Search and Seizure warrants. If a SWAT team is used to conduct a raid, you would think that something other than possession of a CDS was occurring. I mean, lets get real about this. SWAT teams are supposed to be a last resort type thing.
souls crabshack says
Search warrants are always a crap shoot. How are the police supposed to know what is on the other side of the door? You could watch a dozen people buy from the house and there only be a possession amount inside when the warrant is done, hence the possession charge. Sometimes people get lucky, sometimes the cops do… From your constant blabbering I am guessing the cops visit to souls crabshack was one of the bonus days when there was something on the other side of the day.
SoulCrusher says
Whatever. SWAT Teams are not necessary in the execution of BS warrants. You guys just wanted to play dress up and scare the crap out of the entire neighborhood with your display of Spartan Testosterone. You guys are really in left field up there, but the use of your Municipal SWAT Team to perform duties that a Narcotics Task Force should be able to handle on their own, is ridiculous. Guess it gave you an excuse to oil up the ole AR’s. I am still trying to translate your final sentence from your comments and I can’t seem to make sense of it. Care to explain it in English that everyone reading it can comprehend?
Open your eyes says
Smdh, I’m from aberdeen and not from the nice parts. I took part in some dumb stuff in my days but by far is it police actually doin thier jobs. Read between the lines, just like observer said its ppl taking out grudges or eliminating the competition. Then the police tell them it’s confidential next thing you know everybody knows who’s telling and that’s when ppl start dying. Population control, weeding out a race or block idk. But I do no for sure its not the police work, and half the time most cases are thrown out!!
Amusing! says
‘Eliminating the competition’….dude, that there sounds like drug dealer mentality….and obviously people are getting tired of seeing that in their neighborhoods!! People dont care that cases are thrown out….just that it is gone from their block/street…..give them a break!! Some of these areas were nice quiet areas till that one family or even just one person moved in….so what do you tell the people that had lived there??? Move….they got more right to be there than the drain on society that just moved there does….so I applaud them….call….call everytime u see some s^/thead walk to and from that house or car….let the police do there job….majority of people dont bitch about the police….reason?? Because their not doing dirty sh/^!!!
SoulCrusher says
The Execution of Search and Seizure Warrants that are illegal or unconstitutional is bad. If the Execution was knowingly and willingly illegal or unconstitutional, that is worse. Just for your information, virtually everyone who is not a cop, complains about them in one instance or another. Obviously, you wouldn’t know that.
Amusing! says
as always……they complain till they need them!! If your so upset about the way they conduct them, why dont u go to the people in charge….the ones that make the protocols that deal with warrants?? Ur barking up the wrong tree…..its the sheriff/chief of police that makes those policies in place….not your street cop or SWAT guy…..THAT I do know!!
SoulCrusher says
I’m not upset, I don’t live in Little Deustchland anymore. The citizens of your county should be upset that you used a SWAT team to invade the sanctity of the home. If this was a hostage situation or a terroristic threat, then the use of such force is warranted. However, you guys used a SWAT team to serve warrants of a common nature to intimidate the citizens of your City. Governing by use of intimidation is the definition of terrorism. Just Saying…….
Al J Thong says
Soul Crusher, you’re a one trick poney. I bet if someone asked you what time it was you would say….It’s time to stop illegal searches.
SoulCrusher says
No, I would say its time for Law Enforcement to follow the Constitution and NOT try to advert the principles of the Constitution. I would say its time for Police to STOP knowingly and willingly using investigative techniques that are against the law. Its time for the Prosecutors to STOP using evidence that they know was acquired both illegally and unconstitutionally. I would say its time for Prosecutors to STOP forcing convictions in Harford County. I would say that its time for the JUDGES to stop covering up the illegal actions of both the Prosecutors and Law Enforcement. I would say its time for the JUDGES to STOP aiding Prosecutors in the forcing of convictions in Harford County. I would say its time for JUDICIAL REFORM! Then I would tell you it 8:48a.m……..

first off I don’t know what you talking about neighbors is being nosey that s*** don’t make no sense for people to say hi to people every day and then turn around and call the police on him and snatched I was a part of that when they all went down and it was unlawful search warrant anyway it wasn’t right and it was wrong they came there for somebody that had a child support warrant and and did some disrespectful so really it was wrong so people don’t know what the hell they talkin about dumb motherfuckers stupid as s*** your snitches community center as people calling the cops having group meetings outside thinking that s**** cool that’s not coolwhy what is wrong with people nowadays I let people be people mind your business let the police do a job people need to do to pull these jobs for them f****** rats snitching

But hey…..I hope they keep “snitchen” just to keep dirtbags off the street….even if it is for 30 days!! In life we r judged by the company we keep…..you want change….stop hanging out with £%>× heads and criminals!! Try an honest living for once!!
Soul Crusher 2 says
See my comment above about corporal punishment in schools. It would have done you well.
Please help us understand why it was an illegal warrant, and you can precede your argument by letting us know where and when you graduated from Law School.

In a complex sentence, a subordinate clause is a group of words that has a subject and a verb but does not express a complete thought. But more importantly, a sentence contains a period.
Just a thought.

do us all a favor says
You all want to illegally grow drugs and sell drugs with impunity but want to bitch about the constitution and the letter of the law when it comes to search warrants. Here is a solution………… don’t sell drugs, use drugs, or grow drugs and you won’t be facing the barrel of a gun.
Open your eyes says
@ do us all a favor
Great post but you are beating your ahead against the wall talking to the Soul Man. ” He ain’t never done anything wrong but always gets blamed”….uh uh
SoulCrusher says
@Open Your Eyes – I’ve never said I didn’t do anything wrong. I’ve said that my conviction was illegal and unconstitutional. I’ve said that the search of my former address in Harford County was illegally and unconstitutional. I’ve said I was forced to take an ALFORD PLEA against my free will. I’ve said that I was Deprived of my Rights under color of Law. I’ve said that a CRIMINAL element exists in the MSP and HARFORD COUNTY NARCOTICS TASK FORCE, that has been allowed to exist in a highly racist and corrupt government and has brought great dishonor and disgrace to the Harford County Criminal Justice System. If you don’t like what I type, then don’t read it. Thumbs Down it. Do whatever. The TRUTH is what I type. Do you even know what the TRUTH is?
Open your eyes says
I give up. Why were you “forced to take an Alford plea.” Did some one hold a gun to your head? You speak of the corrupt courts in Harford County. If that is true why did you not appeal it to the higher state courts or the Supreme court if you thought you were getting a bad deal. From your post you seem like you have reasonable intelligence. Taking a deal/plea you did not agree with doesn’t sound very smart to me.
SoulCrusher says
Go pull the file and read the Coram Nobis of both 12K09002034 & 12K10000013, then you’ll know the answer. If I try to explain it, Cahill will censor me as usual. He already deleted proof of Detective Marston’s threats before. Trust me, your talking to a BRICK WALL of defiance when it comes to my case……
SoulCrusher says
That is an invalid argument. If you can’t follow the Constitution or the Letter of the Law then you have no business being in Law Enforcement. Every aspect of the powers granted to Law Enforcement is derived from the same Document that you guys are so eager to throw to the side. Remember, Law Enforcement Officers are the ones who took that oath, to honor and defend the Constitution, NOT TO IGNORE IT. Your final sentence is the epitome of why the public sees it as US(citizens) against THEM(police). In my opinion, you should not be allowed to carry a gun because of your last sentence. If you are a Police Officer, please resign, you have no business being on the public’s payroll…….
Yeah right says
The statement is only invalid because you disagree with it. Maybe “facing the barrel of a gun” was a double entendre.
Translation: drugs will eventually put you on the end of a policeman’s gun or a criminal’s.
SoulCrusher says
Unless it is a lawfully prescribed OPIATE that big pharma makes money off of…… Bottom line SWAT teams were and unnecessary in the carrying out of the warrants in this article.
Oh I get it says
Now your complaint is that if “big pharma” can profit from a legal drug regulated by the FDA that you should be afforded the same right…………without the regulation of course.
I suppose that in your world SWAT was not needed for Joseph Palczynski either.
I would prefer that SWAT be involved in all those calls for drug raids. With distribution of drugs comes gangs, violence and firearms. I want my police department armed with AR15’s when they go after these parasites.
SoulCrusher says
First, Palczynski didn’t even happen in Harford County. Second, In light of prior murders, threats against the police and the light of a HOSTAGE, yes, the SWAT team was necessary. However, drugging him into a stupor and then executing him was kinda harsh. He could’ve been taken into custody, but that’s ancient history. Third, I am amused by your take on the whole big pharma comment. What I was getting at is its alright for Doctors to prescribe dangerously addictive OPIATES, without consequence, to anyone they feel like. Where do you think most of the illegal pills on the street come from? Do you think Drug Dealers magically make the pills from some mythical supply of poppies they have stashed? No, they are getting them from patients who are just getting the pills and selling them. Talk about Insurance Fraud! So the regulatory process isn’t really regulated because the Doctors aren’t being responsible in their prescription practices. Last, Swat Teams are not necessary in the execution of warrants like these. Man, I believe I already said that……
can't fight the system says
Soul,
The issue is one that other states have faced and made reasonable decisions, in that they put marijuana up for a referendum and made it legal. That separates it from the company of crack cocaine, meth and so forth. I can see SWAT being used to serve warrants on psycho meth heads. So, in MD how can you up front separate what you might run into. Granted, middle of the night raids create potential extra victims if you raid the wrong house and someone comes out of their bedroom with a golf club.
But MD is not in anyway a liberal state. It is a big government state and would fight a referendum with all the power it could. Never mind that we pack our jails with minorities or simply rack up quota arrests for those caught with a paraphernalia pot pipe. Bottom line, those who are deeply concerned should fight the lawyers and incarceration lobby and get things up for a vote… it would easily pass. Most folks are too scared to openly fight the system these days.
about the violence.... says
With PROHIBITION of drugs come gangs, violence and firearms. All of this ended in 1933 when we repealed prohibition of alcohol. The Mafia was almost nothing before, and it does not sell alcohol now, because the insane profit opportunities are gone. Our politicians prefer to be church ladies than to learn from history.
yeah right says
Maybe you should take a trip to Puerto Rico.
One in seven are drug addicts.
Murder rate that is double NYC with half the population.
