From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
The Police Unity Tour will be stopping at the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, Southern Precinct on Wednesday morning (May 11th) to place a wreath at the base of the law enforcement officer’s memorial and then continue on their 280 mile ride to Washington DC. Riders from the Maryland / Delaware Chapter will began their ride in Philadelphia on May 8th. They each ride in honor of a police officer killed in the line of duty and will cycle 280 miles over 4 days to raise awareness of the sacrifice police officers have made nationwide. The ride will end in Washington DC where they will join with 1700 riders meeting at the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial to once again honor those officers.
Remarks will be given by Sheriff Jeffrey R. Gahler and Jennifer Logsdon, widow of Deputy First Class Mark Logsdon who was killed in the Line of Duty on February 10, 2016.
