From Harford County government:
Harford County Executive Barry Glassman’s administration on Wednesday, May 11, rededicated the Broad Creek Boat Ramp in Darlington following enhancements to the ramp and parking area. Joining county officials in the rededication were the Maryland Dept. of Natural Resources and family members of the late Arthur “Whitey” Mansberger, who had been a devoted park volunteer for 60 years. The Broad Creek Boat Ramp is the only free public launch access to the Susquehanna River above the Conowingo Dam.
The $475,133 improvement project provided for ADA accessibility with car and trailer parking, and ADA access to the pier and kayak cradle. Improvements also included landscaping, storm drain repairs, and driveway area paving. Funding for the project was provided by Harford County government, the Maryland Dept. of Natural Resources Waterway Improvement Fund, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service – Sport Fish Restoration Program.

one of the rivers best access points..and no launch fee!
Pavel314 says
It is a great place to launch, I canoe there often. I hope they widened the parking lot, it used to be pitifully small.
Pavel314 says
I took my canoe up to the Broad Creek launch site and found that the parking lot had been paved but only has two handicapped spots. On the higher level, leaving the launch area, there are two regular parking places and another handicapped spot. What wizard decided that 60% of the parking should be for handicapped?
Pavel314 says
To clarify, there are only two parking places in the lower lot, both of which are handicapped spots.
Jackass says
Just park in the handicap spot.
In this day, who’s going to refute you?
