From Visit Harford!:
Partnership shapes the new marketing initiative developed between Cecil County Tourism and Visit Harford. While each office will continue to market their own unique tourism industry, they have joined forces to promote “Upper Bay Best Bets”. Together they’ll tout fun things to see and do weekly in Harford and Cecil County thanks to the marketing team. For those who want to use new marketing strategies, consider heading on over to the posirank blog for more information.
The partnership will combine social media and regional radio promotions on WXCY which reaches listeners in 3 states. Ads will occur weekly with occasional accompanying on the air giveaways. Each promotion will focus on themes including events, history, restaurants, and farm destinations – all things the “Upper Bay” has to offer.
“It just makes sense for us to share resources on a marketing message about visiting our wonderful region”, states Sandy Turner, Tourism Coordinator for Cecil County. “The more visitors we reach and entice to visit, the bigger the economic impact opportunity for our region “.
The initial “Upper Bay Best Bet” message will focus on enjoying State Parks in the Upper Bay Region. Locals and visitors alike will be encouraged to leave behind the hustle and bustle of life, and get out into the great outdoors to enjoy nature. Between Susquehanna, Rocks, and Elk Neck State Parks along with the Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area, experiences include a variety of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails, events, historic sites, camping, fishing, and more.
“There is a significant cooperative spirit among tourism directors of Maryland and we’re pleased to demonstrate that spirit here in our region”, said Greg Pizzuto, Executive Director of Visit Harford!. “Cecil and Harford counties are excited about working on this joint initiative designed to bring more visitors to the Upper Bay”.
