From Harford County Public Schools:
The Patterson Mill Key Club recently collected 716 pairs of shoes for disadvantaged people in Haiti. This is more than double the total number collected last year! The Patterson Mill Key Club is the high school division of Kiwanis and is devoted to service and leadership development. Kiwanis International is a global organization of members of every age who are dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. The Patterson Mill Key Club was recognized as the most improved in the MD-DC-VA-DE region at its District Convention in March. Members have completed or are currently involved in more than a dozen different service and leadership projects. Co –advisors Tim Odell and Janice Greenwood and the students are coached through leading the projects themselves. Key Clubbers have earned scholarships, and two past members who graduated formed a company to provide services for special needs students.
