From Maryland State Police:
Maryland State Police continue their investigation into the death of a 51 year old Pylesvlle man found near a local bar in Cecil County, early Friday Morning.
The remains of Mark T. Grubbs, of Pylesville, Maryland has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner were an autopsy was perform. The cause and manner of death has not been determined at this time.
Investigators have worked throughout the night, after finding a man lying in the road on U.S. Route 1 in the area of the Conowingo Dam at approximately 2:40 a.m. on July 5, 2013. Troopers from the North East Barrack responded to the area and after looking at the injuries sustained by the deceased, notified investigators from the homicide unit and crime scene technicians to assist with the investigation.
Several investigative leads were looked into establishing that the deceased was Sweeny’s Bar located in the 100-block of Conowingo Road, Conowingo, MD, prior to his death. Investigators are conducting interviews with anyone that may have been at the bar on July 5, 2013. Investigators urge anyone with information to contact state police at 410-996-7800. Caller may remain confidential.
Troopers are still investigating to determine what exactly occurred on that morning. The cause and manner of death has not been determined at this time. Investigators will be consulting with the medical examiner’s office as the investigation continues.
