Armed Bank Robbery at Harford Mall; Bel Air Police Search for Man Who Held Up Liberty Federal Savings and Loan

From the Bel Air Police Department:

The Bel Air Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occured on Friday, September 6, 2013, at approximately 9:30 a.m., at the Liberty Federal Savings and Loan, located inside Harford Mall.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 40’s or early 50’s, wearing a brown baseball cap with a green camouflage bandanna underneath, a black long sleeve shirt with a white stripe down the side of each sleeve, blue jeans and black shoes.

The suspect entered the business, displayed a small frame black revolver and demanded cash. He then fled on foot toward the Baltimore Pike.

    If it is the Bel Air Police Department doing the investigation for this incident, why are the numbers listed and people to contact in the Harford County Sheriffs Department?
