Mask-Wearing, Gun-Wielding Men Rob Sovereign Bank in Forest Hill

September 25, 2013 By Dagger News Service 19 Comments

From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:

At approximately 12:24 p.m. Wednesday, Harford County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a hold-up alarm at the Sovereign Bank, 2006 Rock Spring Road in Forest Hill.

Deputies arrived at 12:26 p.m. and were told by witnesses the bank was robbed by two males wearing masks. Witnesses report the suspects entered the bank wearing dark clothing and masks that obscured their faces. They each displayed a handgun and demanded money. The bank tellers complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspects who then fled the bank in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

Suspect description: Suspect 1 is a black male, 5’6″ to 5’8”, thin build, broad shoulders, dressed in dark clothing; Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 5’8” to 5’9”, medium build. There is no other information available at this time.

As of this release detectives are on scene interviewing witnesses. Anyone with any information or may have seen anything suspicious is asked to call the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 410-836-5442.

Is it a coincidence that violent crimes have spike greatly in Maryland since the passing of our governors gun ban? Word on the street is that criminals are starting to feel bold

MD has become off the chain! We have more & more home invasions in Cecil County & more & more citizens standing up for themselves & not taking Sh** from anyone, at this point I think we all need a permit to carry so when idiots like the ones in this story pull crap like rob banks or do home invasions they can be taken down in one shot & there you have it, the Po Po job is done for them by the time they arrive! All they have to do is write the final report & citizen justice is complete:-) Give the average Joe a little training & you are all set, we can be like Batman & Superman or Wonderwoman even in the night! LMAO!

For home invasions, you don’t need a permit to keep a shotgun near at hand. I’m not sure if it would be legal to arm tellers but it doesn’t seem like a good idea to put them into a shoot-out with the robbers.

At my credit union, the tellers aren’t exposed to the public, you deal with them via closed-circuit television screens and pneumatic tubes. That would eliminate this sort of rush in, threaten, and grab cash activity which we’ve been seeing a lot of in the county lately.

I know I don’t need one for my home. I am just saying I would like to have a permit to carry because I travel by myself in the evening allot as my husband work odd hours & sometimes I don’t feel safe shopping at Walmart or even getting gas after dark! Sometimes I feel like I am spinning cause I am constantly watching my surroundings! A relative is a cop, I am very well aware of the gun laws & what the hell is going on with these moronic criminals! I just don’t feel safe anymore! I feel somewhat secure in my home cause I am protected by my lil friend, who will greet anyone who wishes to do me harm in my own home!

Don’t think their Canadians, their pants are not down to the knees, their not holding their the guns sideways and they covered all exposed skin, Canadians would not have tried to disguise themselves, these guys were smart.

They’re described in the article as black males, probably based on their speech patterns. I agree that it doesn’t seem like a black MO; maybe they disguised their voices as well as wearing masks.

Police are doing their job…they are investigating this crime. And please remember that when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. Tip Of The Day: A sawed-off shot gun is the best weapon for protecting one’s residence. Nuff said.

Coach guns are legal; they’re double barreled, with shorter barrels than hunting guns. I like the old-fashioned kind with the external hammers. Or get a pistol-grip pump gun, if you’d prefer more shots before reloading.

When they’re caught they should become organ donors. But instead, Maryland “justice” will run them through the system 20 or 30 times until they eventually kill someone. Then they’ll get serious and put them away for a couple years – won’t be able to execute them since our Governor is a pu$$y.. The fact that someone will be dead is just unfortunate. On the other hand, the banks determined that the occasional loss by robbery – and the safety of their customers and employees – doesn’t justify the expense of an armed security guard. That decision probably earned a bank president a big bonus…

There was an interesting comment in today’s Aegis attributed to Sheriff Bane. The Sheriff was interviewed about the recent spate of robberies in Harford County. He has stated that robberies in the past were by and large committed to feed substance abuse. Now we are seeing robberies because people need to put food on the table for their family. The Sheriff says that the bad economy is just now catching up and more robberies are being committed as a result of it. This is one statement that the Sheriff and I agree on. The economy is nowhere near being good, and people are becoming more desperate as they try and survive. Hours are being cut by employers and in some instances entire positions are eliminated. Things are not as rosy as the national administration likes to tell us. If the Sheriff is right, look for more robberies as our economy sputters along.

      Mike,
I would have to disagree with you. Jesse cannot claim to have defeated gangs and drugs if there are armed robberies being committed because of them, so what does he say? Putting food on the table? More liberal B.S. for the king of B.S., Jesse Bane. I assume he wants us to feel sorry for the two guys in masks holding guns pointed at the bank employee? I am not the sheriff and don’t care to be, but you can mark my words. When those guys are caught, it will be a robbery due to substance abuse and not to feed a starving family!
