From Maryland State Police:
The Maryland State Police are requesting assistance from the public in identifying a man who robbed a convenience store clerk with a pair of scissors shortly before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The clerk at the 7-Eleven store, located at the corner of Abingdon and Philadelphia roads in Abingdon, Maryland, told Troopers the armed assailant entered the establishment and threatened her with large pair of scissors. The suspect demanded she turn over U.S. Currency from the register.
There were no customers in the convenience store at the time of the pre-dawn robbery. No injuries were reported.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, the suspect fled the store on foot and was last seen heading south along Philadelphia Road.
The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt, dark sweatpants and covered his face with a dark T-shirt. The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid 20s, between 6’2” and 6’4.” The suspect weighed approximately 200 pounds.
