Police Charge Two in Armed Robbery of Edgewood Royal Farms

EDGEWOOD _ Two men face charges from the Maryland State Police in Harford County this week in connection with a brazen armed robbery of an Edgewood Road convenience store.

Maryland State Police criminal investigators charged Steven Lamar Joseph, 19, of the 300 block of Canoe Lane, Edgewood, MD and Adam Elijah Williams, 21, of the 9800 block of Dee Way, Middle River, MD with armed robbery, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, theft under $1,000 and weapons violations.

The arrests of both men followed a month-long investigation by Troopers into the January 11th armed robbery of the Royal Farms convenience store located in the 600 block of Edgewood Road. Troopers were summoned to the store near Hanson Road shortly before 2 a.m. after two masked men entered the establishment and brandished a handgun. Robber Hits Friendly’s Restaurant In Edgewood

EDGEWOOD, MD _ Troopers from the Maryland State Police at the Bel Air Barrack “D” are seeking assistance from the public to identify a middle-aged robber who held up a restaurant Tuesday night.

Shortly after 10 p.m., Troopers were called to the Friendly’s restaurant at 1407 Pulaski Highway after a man entered the establishment, implied he was armed with a handgun and demanded cash. The robber fled with a small amount of US currency. No injuries were reported.

The restaurant was open at the time of the holdup. However the suspect, who targeted only the staff, did not disrupt a half-dozen patrons eating in the restaurant’s adjacent dining room.

At the same time Troopers were en route to the restaurant, Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies were responding to the nearby CVS Pharmacy for a similar call. Troopers and Deputies determined the culprit to be the same for both ...Continue Reading

Maryland State Police Arrest Joppa Fugitive With Help Of Comcast On Demand

(Bel Air, MD) After receiving information from a Comcast viewer, Maryland State Police make an arrest of a wanted fugitive in Harford County.

Troopers from the Bel Air Barracks arrested Sean Stephen Garrison, 37, of Joppa, Maryland after receiving information from a Comcast viewer who had seen him listed on Maryland’s Fugitive Files On Demand. Comcast’s Fugitive Files is a public service that gives digital cable customers the opportunity to view profiles of local criminals On Demand and submit anonymous tips to help police capture fugitives. The arrest of Garrison adds to a growing list of criminals nationwide that have been located through the help of Comcast viewers.

Edgewood Royal Farms Store Robbed At Knifepoint

On 10/13/09 at approximately 1:45 a.m., Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack were dispatched to the Royal Farms Store located in the 600 block of Edgewood Road for a report of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, troopers made contact with a store employee who advised that a man with a white t-shirt covering his face entered the store and produced a knife. He ordered the clerk to open the register and then removed an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot towards Hanson Road.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black male, medium muscular build, height approximately 6-00, with tattoos on both arms. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a white tank top t-shirt and blue jeans.

Domestic Dispute Ends With Stabbing/Attempted Murder In Bel Air

On 09/26/2009 at approximately 0335 hours, Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack were directed to respond to 1007 Conowingo Road, Bel Air, MD for a report of a stabbing that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, Troopers found the V/C, Ronald Francis Gentry, W/M, DOB 08/15/1960 of the aforementioned address to have been stabbed in the left arm and bleeding profusely. The suspect, Bryan Thomas Hewitt, DOB 10/12/1983 also of the Conowingo Road address had gotten into a physical altercation with his girlfriend, Andrea Renee Young, W/F, DOB 8/10/1984, in their bedroom on the first floor of the residence, at which time, her sister, Elaina Marie Donahoo, W/F, DOB 12/3/1991 stepped in between Hewitt and his girlfriend. (Pikesville, MD) – Maryland State Police Superintendent Colonel Terrence B. Sheridan is proudly commending a Bel Air Barrack trooper who received top honors for his talents as a skilled criminal investigator and committed public servant.

Trooper First Class Richard E. Carroll III, 30, was honored yesterday by the Baltimore Sun as their Police Officer of the Year. The award was presented to TFC Carroll in recognition of his criminal investigation expertise, leadership abilities and community service.
