Annexation Adoptions and City Code Amendments on Aberdeen’s Agenda

The Dagger | Local News With an Edge: Latest post

Four annexation requests and a pair of zoning code changes are scheduled before the Aberdeen City Council tonight (Monday) at 7 p.m. in City Hall.

The 952 Gilbert Road, LLC annexation plan could be adopted by the mayor and city council Monday night and resolutions to annex Paradise Meadows, Inc., Presbyterian Home of Maryland, Inc. and Vernon K. Johnson Trust Properties, and the Scotten Property are set for introduction.

In February, the Aberdeen Planning Commission reviewed plans for a 221-acre annexation at 600 Paradise Road owned by Paradise Meadows, Inc.

Also on the agenda tonight (Monday), are proposed amendments to the Aberdeen City Code and Development Code; the latter regarding townhouses. Both amendments could be adopted Monday night.

What happened at the meeting? Those of us that couldn’t attend won’t find out via the Aberdeen websire for at least 4 months. Transparent government………yeah right!

I think the murder5 was outside of town limits and not in a possible annexation area.

Can anyone give a little insight as to what happened at Monday’s meeting? The Aberdeen website is not user friendly with council minutes.

Got something to say?
