ROCKVILLE, Md.—Sophomore Ian Hill (Richmond, Va./Douglas Freeman/Walters State) blocked a career-high eight shots and fell just short of a triple-double as the Harford men’s basketball team fell to Montgomery College-Rockville, 83-55, last Saturday at the Rockville campus.
The Fighting Owls (6-13, 2-8 MDJUCO) have lost six of their last seven games while the Knights (9-9, 5-5 MDJUCO) have won their last two straight contests.
Hill fell just one point, two rebounds and two blocks shy of a triple-double as he totaled nine points, eight rebounds, and eight blocks on the day. Freshman Lionel Perkins (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) led the way for the Owls with 21 points on 8-for-17 shooting, with 16 of those points coming in the second half, where he shot 6-for-10 from the field.
The Fighting Owls return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 21 when they host CCBC-Dundalk for a 7:00 p.m. game at the Susquehanna Center, which can also be heard at SportsJuice.com.
