Congratulations to all the teachers who were nominated as Harford County Teacher of the Year Finalists.
I wish someone could explain to me what the criteria for this recognition is and how the nomination process works. I am curious because based on one of the names on the list, I am of the opinion this award has no credibility.
I am a parent of children who have had this particular teacher and they are unquestionably one of the worst teachers I have ever been exposed to in Harford County. Multiple students currently in their class that I have spoken with laughed out loud when they heard of this nomination.
I know by and large we have a lot of very good teachers in Harford County. But when such a sub standard teacher gets this kind of recognition, it must be insulting to their peers.
