Volunteers Needed/Fundraising Opportunities Available
Don’t Miss Out – Earn $$$ for Your Organization By Participating in the 2008 Farm Fair
(Bel Air, MD – March 19, 2009) – – The 2009 Harford County Farm Fair will be held Thursday, July 30 – Sunday, August 2. Over the years, the Fair has grown to include new activities and the need for volunteers continues to increase. KIDWAY at the Farm Fair provides a variety of games for children of all ages and is an easy and fun way for groups to fundraise. Activities include face painting, races, ball crawl, barnyard bingo and much, much more.
Staffing needs still exist Thursday through Sunday and your group can be a part of the Fair by helping with the KIDWAY activities, while at the same time earning money for your organization. We supply the materials and therefore, all proceeds will go to your organization/group or can be donated to another organization. Depending on which game you choose, organizations can raise up to $240 in one day. KIDWAY is an extremely popular way to fundraise and we are already getting numerous requests to participate. Space is filling up quickly, and games are designated on a first-come first-served basis, so please reserve your place now!
The Annual Farm Fair has been a Harford County tradition for over 20 years. Thanks to the efforts of the Fair Board, hundreds of volunteers and the generosity of corporate sponsors, the Harford County Farm Fair is able to provide affordable family fun to the local community while promoting Harford County’s agricultural heritage and encouraging youth involvement in agricultural activities, particularly through the 4-H.
The Fair is a Harford County summertime tradition, so don’t miss out. Help at the KIDWAY – where the fun never ends! Please contact Jen Davis, Department of Community Services’ Volunteer Connection, at 410-638-4444 for more information or to become part of KIDWAY at the Harford County Farm Fair.
