LINCROFT, N.J.—The Harford women’s lacrosse team took a 5-5 tie into halftime, but was outscored 6-3 in the second half, as it was edged, 11-8, by Brookdale on Saturday in Lincroft.
The Fighting Owls (2-6) have lost three straight, while the Jersey Blues (2-3) have won two of their last three.
Freshman Melissa Warczynski (Street, Md./North Harford) led the Harford attack with five goals on the day, while sophomore Anna Pollitt (Aberdeen, Md./Havre de Grace) and freshman Morgan Kiniry (Street, Md./Harford Tech) each added a goal and an assist and freshman Cortney Chen (Havre de Grace, Md./Havre de Grace) added one goal.
Freshman keeper Brittany MacKnew (Abingdon, Md./Bel Air) totaled 14 saves for Harford in 60:00 in the cage.
The Fighting Owls continue their four-game roadstand on Tuesday when they travel to Howard for a 3:30 p.m. game before facing CCBC-Catonsville on the road on Thursday.
