(Aberdeen, MD – June 16, 2009) – Harford County Sheriff’s detectives have identified the male found on the railroad tracks in Aberdeen, MD on June 13, 2009 as Bernard Joseph Stiller, Jr., 49, of Deer Valley Way in Bel Air, MD.
On Saturday June 13, 2009 at 6:48 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a call from a CSX train conductor advising he observed what appeared to be a body laying on the railroad tracks in the area of Loflin Road and Old Philadelphia Road, Aberdeen, MD. Deputies responded and discovered Stiller who apparently had been struck by a train sometime during the night or early morning.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office investigating the incident positively identified Stiller through his fingerprints. Detectives are awaiting the autopsy report to determine exact cause of death.
