From the Harford County Health Department:
Bel Air, MD – September 25, 2009 – As a result of delays in the distribution of its shipments of seasonal flu vaccine, Harford County Health Department is canceling the Drive-Thru seasonal influenza vaccination clinic scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland. The alternate “rain” date of October 2, 2009 is likewise cancelled.
Although the Health Department regrets having to cancel its first community seasonal flu clinic, an adequate vaccine supply should be available in time to conduct the remainder of its scheduled community vaccination clinics.
Despite the delay in vaccine delivery, no shortage of seasonal influenza vaccine in the community is anticipated. Individuals are encouraged to obtain their seasonal flu vaccinations at one of the other Health Department clinics, or from their local health care providers, retail establishments and pharmacies throughout the county.
Harford County Health Department will continue to update the public on the status of its community flu vaccination clinic schedule and invites the public to visit its website at www.harfordcountyhealth.com for additional information as it becomes available.
