BEL AIR, Md.—The impact of the record-breaking February snowstorms is still being felt in March as Harford Athletics continues to make scheduling adjustments due to field conditions both at Harford and at Harford’s opponents.
The men’s lacrosse game against Williamson Free Trade has been moved to Harford Stadium due to unplayable field conditions in Media, Pa. The Fighting Owls (1-0), who are coming off their season-opening 16-13 win over Delaware Tech-Terry on Sunday, will host the Mechanics in a 10:00 a.m. game on Saturday at Harford Stadium.
The baseball doubleheader, which was scheduled to be played on Saturday at Allegany has been postponed, with a make-up date yet to be determined, while tomorrow’s game against Delaware County has been moved to Saturday. Harford, who is coming off a 3-1 opening weekend against Brunswick, will play Delaware County in a doubleheader at the Ripken Baseball Academy complex at 12:00 p.m. and will also host Lackawanna at Ripken on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
The season-opening softball doubleheader against Chesapeake, originally scheduled for Sunday, has been postponed with a make-up date not yet determined, while Monday’s doubleheader against Patrick Henry has been moved to Thursday, Mar. 11 at 2:30 p.m.
More information on all postponements will be posted once it becomes available.
