DOVER, Del.—Freshman Dane Grudzien (Joppatowne, Md./Joppatowne) scored eight points (7g, 1a) as the Harford men’s lacrosse team opened the 2010 season with a 16-13 win over Delaware Tech-Terry on Sunday at Wesley Stadium.
Grudzien was one of seven players that scored for the Fighting Owls (1-0), while Ryan Gray led the Hawks (1-1) with five points (3g, 2a). Freshman Mike Miller (Parkville, Md./Parkville) went the distance in goal for Harford, allowing 13 goals and tallying 11 saves in 60:00, while Cory Stanley and Josh Smith split time, with each letting in eight goals, Stanley recording four saves and Smith making three.
The Fighting Owls return to action on Saturday when they host Williamson Free Trade for a 10:00 a.m. game at Harford Stadium.
