From the State’s Attorney Office of Harford County:
On 18 May 2010, the Harford County grand jury indicted James Aaron Kimble (20), of Joppa, Maryland for charges of assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree, assault in the first degree because of the victim’s race, assault in the second degree because of the victim’s race, and reckless endangerment.
The charges are the result of an alleged assault against Jermaine Cook on May 6, 2010 with a glass mug which sent the victim to Shock Trauma.
The defendant is presently being held without bond at the Harford County Detention Center. He will next be set for arraignment and a subsequent bail review in the Circuit Court for Harford County.
The defendant’s cousin, Albert Ray Glasscock Jr. (27), also of Joppa, Maryland, is awaiting trial for two (2) counts of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct, for his involvement in the same case, and is presently being held at the Harford County Detention Center on a $100,000 bail. He is scheduled for trial in the District Court of Maryland for Harford County on May 26, 2010.
WOW you have to love the this story got twisted up and covered in lies! The crime was over a traffic incident mr cook ran a stop sign almost hitting mr kimble. Then they exchanged words in anger out of each other. MR Cook the cop out of uniform only seeing 1 person got out of his car to fight MR Kimble. (Real professional of a police officer to do! He could of drove away at this point) When this happens Kimble calls for help from his cousin who out back with freinds around a small fire pit. Then from there The fighting began it was a 1 on 1 fight. After both guys are bleeding if racail things were said it was AFTER the fight not to mention this was not MR Kimbles voice in the 911 call. In my opinion this was a cop who thought he was billy bad ass and wasnt. Its easy to pick on a 20 yr old kid untill he hits you with a bottle. Being that your a paid to be a professional even if it is baltimore professionalism….. You should of never got out of your car. I mean is it that hard to drive away or walk away. They people to this all time to good to follow your own rules. Oh and Just to say Kimble was WRONG to hit him with a bottle but cook was WRONG for ever getting out of his car! Lets see Cook wasnt a small guy either Kimble being younger and felt threaten. You can look either way they were both wrong except the officer IS SUPPOSED TO BE HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD THAN CIVILANS ARE. Oh yea he admitted to drinking but no BAC was ever done…. Cover up for your buddies I guess.
