From Beechtree Catering:
Beechtree Catering has made it into the World Wide Directory of Sanitarily Approved Food Establishments for Armed Forces Procurement. (VC Number 24-0004)
Beechtree is now one of only two full service caterers in Maryland that have received this certification. Many food service facilities apply to the Department of Defense for this official designation, but few are able to meet the stringent requirements. Beechtree has passed the test.
DOD Approval is now required for any events where military funds are used to sponsor the event. This program is designed to protect all individuals who live and work on our military installations around the world. In addition to passing a comprehensive on-site inspection, Beechtree created a Food Defense Plan that documents their measures to protect food and the food production process.
The proximity of Beechtree to Aberdeen Proving Ground creates a unique opportunity for both to benefit from this new designation because the only other caterer in the state concentrates on activities and events around the DC Metro Area. Beechtree Catering has been providing catering services to military functions, local government events, and community functions for over 10 years. They have developed a reputation for superior product, quality service and consistent results. On Friday, May 14th, Beechtree provided catering services for the Armed Forces Day celebration at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Gold Star Families joined Installation Command Major General Nick Justice and Garrison Commander Col. Orlando Ortiz for a VIP Breakfast. Beechtree was honored to be a part of this event and appreciate the sacrifice the soldiers and families have made in service of our country.
