From the Boys and Girls Clubs of Harford County:
The Diamonds in the Rough Ladies Golf Tournament raised more than $18,000 to support youth development programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County. With 15 teams of golfers, the group, chaired by Vi Ripken, was able to make a significant contribution to the much needed youth programs thanks to the many generous sponsors. This was the 13th year this event was held to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs. Over the years, this golf tournament has netted more than $260,000 to support programs in Aberdeen, Bel Air, Edgewood and Havre de Grace.
The 13th Annual Diamonds in the Rough first place team included Kate Smith, Shirley Murphy, Janet Wright, Eileen Webster representing Shaffer Law Office in Bel Air.
