From Harford County government:
Paula Anis, a 20-year employee of the Harford County Department of Treasury has been named “Employee of the Month” for August. Mrs. Anis serves as Assistant Supervisor of Revenue Collections was nominated by several co-workers.
“Paula is always ready to help someone else in the community,” stated Nancy Foley.
“She is right there helping our senior citizen taxpayers, even going to their homes to help them fill out the application for Homeowners Tax Credit for those who have no one to help them,” Foley stated.
In addition to her duties with the Department of Treasury, Mrs. Anis also coordinates the holiday drive for families in the community needing assistance during Thanksgiving and Christmas. She also takes charge of employee donations to assist children needing school supplies.
Commenting on her selection, Mrs. Anis stated, “Without the people I work with I could not do the job that I do. I try to provide the best care to the taxpayer because we need to remember that we work for the citizens of Harford County – they are our employer, without them Harford County Government could not and would not exist.”
Presenting Mrs. Anis with her award during a brief ceremony in the County Executive’s Office, County Executive David R. Craig stated, “Paula demonstrates on a daily basis the best attributes of our county workforce. We are proud she is part of our team and wish her the best for many years to come with Harford County Government.”
