From Harford County government:
Harford County Executive David R. Craig along with James Richardson, Director of the Office of Economic Development and members of his staff, will pay tribute to Harford County businesses during Business Appreciation Week, September 20– 24, 2010. Throughout the week, County Executive Craig and the Office of Economic Development will visit approximately 30 businesses in five different regions of the county, including the three municipalities.
Businesses and industry of all sizes will be recognized and thanked by Harford County Government for their contributions to the county’s economy and quality of life.
“The business community is vital to the interest of Harford County,” stated County Executive Craig. “I look forward to the opportunity to travel throughout the county and hear first hand from the business community regarding the challenges and opportunities before them in the current state of the economy,” Craig remarked.
Harford County Business Appreciation week will also feature other special events including the 2010 Harford County Chamber of Commerce “Harford Award Dinner” and the fourth annual Harford Tourism Breakfast.
“Harford County offers businesses and excellent opportunity to grow and prosper,” stated Jim Richardson, Director of the Office of Economic Development. “Business Appreciation Week is a time for us to thank our business partners and recognize them for the economic strength and stability they bring to our county,” Richardson stated.
