From the Higher Education and Conference Center:
An Education Expo will be held at the Higher Education and Conference Center (HECC) at HEAT in Aberdeen on Wednesday, October 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. Visitors can explore opportunities in upper level undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level degree programs offered at the site.
The Higher Education Center offers residents of Northeastern Maryland the opportunity to pursue Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in selected programs without leaving Northeastern Maryland. Classes are conveniently offered in the evening and on weekends by some of the region’s finest colleges and universities. Bachelor’s degree program areas include business management, education, information technology, and nursing; Master’s degree program areas include applied information technology, biotechnology, education, engineering, instructional technology, management and nursing. A Doctor of Education in Community College Leadership is also offered at HECC.
Representatives from various schools will be available for program advising and to discuss financial aid options. The following institutions offer courses at HECC: College of Notre Dame of Maryland, Johns Hopkins University School of Education, Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering, Johns Hopkins University Zanvyl Kreiger School of Arts & Sciences, Morgan State University, Towson University, University of Maryland College Park, and University of Phoenix.
In addition, Towson University offers a dual Bachelor’s degree program in Elementary Education/Special Education at the Higher Ed Center, as well as several undergraduate classes leading to a degree in business, psychology and criminal justice.
