The holidays are an exciting time in Downtown Bel Air and the Bel Air Downtown Alliance has plenty of events and promotions to keep you in the holiday spirit!
Join us Friday, December 3rd for our 1st Annual Downtown Dine Around & Shopping After Dark, 5pm to 10pm. Our shops and boutiques will be open until 8pm to accommodate your holiday shopping needs. To keep you moving and festive, the Downtown Dine Around is providing FREE appetizers, exclusive drink specials, and a 10% menu discount at Main Street Tower, Dark Horse Saloon, Looney’s Pub, MaGerk’s Pub & Grill, and Sean Bolan’s.
Tickets for the Downtown Dine Around are only $20.00 per person or $35.00 per couple. You can order your tickets by contacting Scott T. Walker at (410) 638-1023 or at swalker@downtownbelair.com. Tickets will also be available that evening. A complete list of ALL of the specials is available on our website. This will be a great night to complete your holiday shopping list and enjoy an evening of fantastic food and drink in Downtown Bel Air!
On Saturday, December 4th the United States Marine Corps Reserve will be at the Bel Air Armory from 12pm to 4pm to collect new toy donations for their “Toys for Tots” program in Harford County. All donations made in Harford County will be used to help Harford County families in need this holiday season. New toy donations can also be made Tiddlywinks, Tiny Toes, and Hair Design. Tiddlywinks and Tiny Toes are offering a 20% discount to anyone purchasing a new toy donation. The Harford Choral Society will also be performing all over Downtown Bel Air from 1pm to 3pm and Shamrock Coffee will be selling hot chocolate and cider to keep you toasty.
Saturday, December 5th is the 21st Annual Bel Air Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting, hosted by the Bel Air Downtown Alliance and brought to you by Point Breeze Credit Union. This event is FREE to all. The festivities begin at 2:30pm with our Main Street Concert featuring The Patrick Redmond Band. The Grand Parade will begin at 3:30pm, starting on Main Street at Churchville Road and ending at Shamrock Park. Immediately following the parade will be the bonfire in Shamrock Park with FREE cookies and hot chocolate, provided by Party Palace, BelAirPatch.com, Coffee Coffee, Blue Dog Café, Bel Air Bakery, and BJ’s Wholesale Club. The majestic tree lighting will be at 4:45pm. In the case of inclement weather, cancellation will be announced at noon on Sunday, December 5, 2010, on WBAL-AM 1090 and WYPR-FM 105.7, on the Bel Air Downtown Alliance and Town of Bel Air websites, and on the Bel Air Downtown Alliance Facebook Page. There is no rain date.
Thursday, December 9th from 5pm to 8pm is Guys Night Out. Our shops and boutiques will be open until 8pm for the fellas to avoid last minute holiday shopping. Our pubs and restaurants are also offering exclusive drink specials that evening for the guys when they bring in their receipts from our local shops. Second Sundays is December 12th with special store hours from 12pm to 4pm and the Bel Air Community Chorus performing in Downtown Bel Air from 1pm to 3pm. And to wrap up the holidays in Downtown Bel Air, join us on Thursday, December 16th for the last Girls Night Out of 2010 from 5pm to 8pm to enjoy a variety of promotions and last minute holiday specials at all of our fine shops and boutiques.
