From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
On Friday, December 17, 2010 at approximately 4:10pm, Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the BB&T bank located in the 3800 block of Jarrettsville Pike, Jarrettsville, MD in reference to a 911 call for a reported armed robbery. A white male weighing between 150lbs and 180lbs wearing a green/beige jacket and gloves entered the bank wearing a full-face motorcycle helmet with a lime green design on the side. He was carrying a long gun with a scope and a black duffle bag. Upon entry, he pointed the weapon at the tellers who were behind the counter and demanded money. No one was injured during the robbery.
After filling the black duffle bag with an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the bank. He was seen driving away from the bank in a red Nissan pick up truck. He turned south onto Jarrettsville Pike. Deputies conducted a canvas of the area with negative results.

Hey fool– The word is “SHERIFF” and you obviously have no idea of the clearance rate of robberies in the county. From your post I see that homework has always been a foreign term to you but it really shows when you start posting. Go back to your coloring book.

Do you think when someone walks into a bank with their face completely covered that would be the time to push the alarm button instead of waiting until they pull the gun and take the money. That is unless the banks have become like the Federal Government and just want to waste money by giving it away. Wait a minute, some banks did receive federal money didn’t they? Maybe they are giving money away! Stop by you local bank and check, might be a holiday thing, Merry Christmas.

Thank you Harry Sax…..the comments on this website make the residents of Harford County appear to be idiots…….but I have come to realize it is just a game people play….like a child with annoying attention getting behaviors. So sad….
BPB says
It’s most bank’s policy to hit the alarm after the Bank Robber has exited the door. They do this in order to avoid a hostage situation inside of the bank. No to mention you don’t want police running right through the front door of a bank directly into gunfire, especially with a long gun.

BPB- that makes perfect sense. Wish more people like you would make informed comments rather than the irrational comments I so often read ! Thanks!

Hey no bad mouthing the HCSO a friend of mine worked for them for 25 years and when they retired they went back to work for them as a volunteer during this time he appllied for a civilian position and was elected by the hiring for the position. The Sheriff’s office standard is so high the person was disqualified for the position because they failed to put the part time position they quit to do more volunteer hours on his application. So no bad mouthing the Agency because their standard is so high that 25 years of service was trumped by a paper work omission.
Retiredawhile says
Backbuster,
Your story is so stupid it’s probably true! Sounds like something only the HCSO would do, and believe me when I say that it has nothing to do with “high standards”. The HCSO is famous for doing asinine things when it comes to dealing with personnel issues.
Edgewood Resident says
Retiredawhile was probably firedawhile, it’s the only way to explain his posts.
Retiredawhile says
Sorry to disappoint you Edgewood Resident, but I have never been fired from any organization of which I was a member, and have never been in the HCSO. I have, however, been very knowledgeable of many personnel actions which have transpired in the HCSO. I am not saying that the incident which Backbuster5 described is true, but knowing of previous personnel incidents in the HCSO it could certainly have happened the way Backbuster5 tells the story.
Edgewood Resident says
I rest my case. Thank you. If you never worked for them then you do not have all the inside knowledge/facts you claim to have, it’s just your poor opinion.
Retiredawhile says
Even the people who work for them often times don’t have all the facts. You don’t have to be a member of the HCSO to have spoken with senior members of the HCSO who are more than willing to share what is going on within the HCSO. If you are an employee of the HCSO or another local police agency you know that to be true.
