The first meeting of the Abingdon Community Council will be on Monday, February 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the Abingdon Library (2510 Tollgate Road, Abingdon).
“The goals of our Community Councils are to strengthen existing communities, to increase citizen participation, and to reinforce the connection between communities and local government,” stated County Executive Craig. “I am pleased that the Abingdon and Bush River communities will now have the opportunity to utilize these resources, and I thank Councilman Joe Woods and Councilwoman Mary Ann Lisanti for their assistance in forming these Community Councils.”
The two new community councils join the five other active councils representing the following geographic regions of Harford County: Edgewood, Fallston, Dublin-Darlington, Joppa-Joppatowne, and Whiteford-Cardiff-Pylesville-Street.
