From the Aberdeen Police Department:
Officers were called to the Aberdeen Shopping Plaza at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday for a reported stabbing. Arriving officers found Joesph Thomas Waters 3rd, 59, of Havre de Grace, suffering from a stab wound to the chest. Paramedics from the Aberdeen Fire Department provided treatment and transported Waters to Bayview Medical Center.
The investigation revealed that Waters was involved in an argument with his son, Joesph Thomas Waters 4th of Aberdeen, when the son produced a knife and stabbed his father.
Joesph Waters 4th was arrested at the scene and has been charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and two weapons related charges.
Joesph Waters 3rd remains in stable condition at Bayview Medical Center.
Joesph Waters 4th is being held at the Harford County Detention Center on $500,000 bond and was scheduled for a bond review Thursday afternoon.
