The Harford County Department of Community Services’ Office on Aging, acting in its capacity as the Area Agency on Aging for Harford County, will hold a public hearing on the Area Plan for Services for the elderly which will encompass the years October 1, 2011 – September 30, 2015. The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Veronica “Roni” Chenowith Activity Center (Fallston Activity Center) located at 1707 Fallston Road in Fallston.
The Area Plan, which the Department of Community Services’ Office on Aging submits to the Maryland Department of Aging, specifies how the Office on Aging will plan, coordinate, and fund services for the elderly in Harford County. Included in the Plan are the Office on Aging’s goals for senior information and assistance, in-home services, health, legal services, the Ombudsman program, senior activity centers, and nutrition programs.
