From Harford County government:
The Harford County Department of Planning and Zoning has announced the draft 2012 Master Plan and Land Use Element Plan will be available for public review and comment beginning on or about October 10, 2011. The Plan will be posted on the Department’s website, and copies will be available for review at all public library branches and at the Department of Planning and Zoning.
In an effort to help citizens understand the new Plan, the Department will be conducting an informational workshop on Thursday, October 20, 2011. The workshop will be held at Harford Community College’s Chesapeake Center Dining Room. Participants will be able to visit a series of stations that will provide information about the draft plan’s various sections, including mapping, strategies, community areas, and implementation.
The workshop will be conducted from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Participants are welcome to stop in anytime during this period. Comments on the draft plan can be submitted at the workshop or online as part of Planning and Zoning’s online networking site. By visiting the Department’s website at www.harfordcountymd.gov/masterplan, participants will be able to view the Plan, post their comments, view all comments received, as well as see all of the information presented at the workshop.
Comments on the draft plan will be accepted until the close of business on November 10, 2011.
