From the Bush River Community Council:
The Bush River Community Council would like to invite the public to a discussion on the Master Plan for the Bush River Communities (Abingdon, Belcamp, Long Bar, Otter Creek, Perryman and Holly Woods).
In October, the Department of Planning and Zoning released an update to the Master Plan specifically designed for the areas surrounding the Bush River. This plan will be the guideline for how the county foresees development in our community for the next 10 years. It is crucial that the members of our neighborhood participate in discussing the Master Plan as it affects all of us directly.
The plan discusses all aspects of our area including development, traffic, schools and recreation. Some of the items discussed in the Master Plan are preserving the Bush Declaration and possibly adding walking trails, public access to the Bush River waterways, watershed improvements, recreational facilities and the Perryman Peninsula. All the details of the Bush River Master Plan can be found in .PDF form at the link provided.

Our meeting will also include a crime report from the Harford County Sheriffs Dept. and a report from Councilwoman Mary Ann Lisanti on the Bi-Partisan commission on school construction. Included in the Councilwoman’s report will be a discussion on the building conditions at William Paca/Old Post Rd. Elementary School and their possibility for new school construction.
The Bush River Community Council meets the third Monday of every month.
This Month’s meeting will be:
December 19, 2011
6:30-8:30pm
