(Baltimore) – The Maryland Lottery today announced revenue numbers for the state’s two casinos — Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County and the Casino at Ocean Downs in Worcester County. December’s statewide revenue totaled $12,483,153.20.
Hollywood Casino Perryville generated $9,475,496.16 in December, and its gross gaming revenue per machine per day was $203.77 for the month. Casino at Ocean Downs generated $3,007,657.04 in December, and its gross gaming revenue per machine per day was $121.28. A detailed breakdown of December’s fund disbursement, fiscal year-to-date totals for the individual casinos and the combined state total are as follows:
The Maryland State Lottery Commission is responsible for all matters relating to regulation of the state’s slots program. In this regulatory role, the Maryland Lottery oversees all internal controls, auditing, security, surveillance, background investigation, licensing and accounting procedures for the facilities. To keep Marylanders informed and maintain integrity and transparency in its regulation of the state’s casinos, the Maryland Lottery posts monthly financial reports on slots revenue on its website, slots.mdlottery.com.

Gee, I wonder where that 12.5 million went? I guess the dems will still need to raise the gas tax .15/gal, triple the flush tax, raise the vehicle regis.tax (oh I forgot, it’s not a tax it’s a fee), etc. The new definition of insanity is : Put the same politicians who raise taxes year after year back into office and expect different results.

Well, I’m not surprised that they have generated enormous amounts of income – they certainly don’t return much back to the gaming public. What is it like to gamble at Hollywood “Casino” ? The buffet is tasty.
