By having jcpenney as the newest addition to our growing tenant mix, this will allow us to go after many of the national retailers that have always wanted to be in Harford County, but could not identify the right location. The recent exciting news about jcpenney, and their new energy, to be one of the Country’s prominent retailers only furthers our excitement for what the Boulevard at Box Hill can become.”
As Harford County’s premier retail and entertainment destination, The Boulevard at Box Hill is the heart and soul of this rapidly growing county of 250,000 residents. Located less than a mile from I-95 the project serves residents of Harford, Carroll, and Northern Baltimore County, as well as those professionals serving at Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Featuring an open-air plaza and tree-lined “Main Street”, Boulevard at Box Hill has more than 450,000 square feet of premium retail space and another 50,000 square feet of restaurants, ranging from casual fare to specialty dining. An additional 88,000 square feet of multi-level office buildings is planned to compliment the 200,000 square feet of space existing in the Box Hill Corporate Center. Current tenants of the massive project include Wegman’s, Joe’s Crab Shack, Panera Bread, and PNC Bank.

How about opening some boutiques like Chanel and Tod’s,a Nar’s shop, Yves St. Laurent,Neiman Marcus and a La Prairie spa?

While I applaud the upscale boutiques vision, the BRAC influx that we thought would come has not manifested as advertised (family incomes included). That being said I don’t see this being anywhere near a Tysons Corner draw or Bethesda. I think a Bass Pro annex would do well…but Chanel would be pushing it.

I was in the JC Penney in White Marsh recently and was extremely disappointed! I am sorry to see this store come to an already crowded area. There are SO many other stores that we would welcome in Abingdon. Yes, agreed, a Bass Pro Shop would be wonderful.

Just a little levity, I couldn’t even remotely afford to shop at those places. Something different would be nice though…..
