“The Chocolate & Candy Festival marks the official start to the event season in Downtown Bel Air. This is really the first time of the year that the community is invited out to Downtown Bel Air and to enjoy everything we have to offer. Chocolate, candy, and sweet treats are what we use to entice everyone to join us,” reported Scott T. Walker, Executive Director of the Bel Air Downtown Alliance. “Bel Air and Harford County have so many wonderful chocolate and candy makers, like Wockenfuss and Stephanie’s Sweets, but we also have great merchants that offer the chocolate and candy ‘experience’ with other sweet treats, such as, Flavor Cupcakery, Broom’s Bloom, and Bel Air Bakery,” Mr.Walker added. “This is a local event and we wanted to include as many of the local chocolate, candy, and sweet treat merchants as possible. However, it’s still all about chocolate and candy, so we also wanted to give everyone as much ‘bang for their buck’ as possible. We think the addition of some non-local merchants will do that and we are very excited that Mary Sue Candies, from Baltimore, MD, will be joining us once again,” he concluded.
This event is made possible due to the generosity and support of APGFCU, Bel Air Athletic Club, Harford Artists Gallery, Cat Sense Feline Hospital, Circa Ltd.,Bel Air North Child Care & Montessori School, and Harford Bank.
