From Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna:
With the success of its recent Dream Builders’ Ball Gala – Red Carpet Evening, Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna raised more than $40,000 to support programs that build, renovate and repair homes with the mission to create homeownership opportunities for residents of Cecil and Harford Counties.
Held February 25 at Mountain Branch Golf Course, this year’s event attracted 220 attendees, an increase of 17% over the 2011 event. Thanks to ticket sales, sponsorships, live and silent auctions and a raffle, Habitat Susquehanna was able to net more than $40,000 from the gala, 24% more than the previous year’s event.
Highlights of the evening included the raffle of a 55” TV donated by Best Buy of Bel Air and an exciting live auction featuring dinner for 15 courtesy of The Main Street Tower, a custom suit, shirts and silk ties donated by Christopher Schafer Clothier and a day of construction with a three-person team provided by Guttman Contracting. The event was emceed by Jamie Costello of ABC2 News and featured a sit-down dinner and entertainment provided by Michael Britt and Bill Fritz and Sons DJs.
The event would not have been possible without the support of sponsors, including platinum-level sponsors Harford Mutual Insurance Company, Rotary Club of Aberdeen, Bank of America and WXCY and gold-level sponsors PNC Bank and Saxon’s Diamond Center.
