Bobby Weaver says
I got a tip for ya – Edgewater Village is an open air drug market.
pizzle says
I’ll post this on behalf of PTBL….
If only we had MORE regulations, with IN-DEPTH psychological screening of law-abiding gun owners….this would have never happened.
Sheeple says
Poor little Tarez, got shot while turning his life around.
The Truth Hurts says
Its a shame that with all the cameras down there an the police station right there that this problem still goes on.I lived down that way back in the late 80s an it was like that then.you would think by now that area wouldn’t be like that.
Bobbie P says
The fact is, the area you describe is twice as bad now than it was in the 80’s. What a pitiful place it is now. The area would not change if you built a police station right in the middle of it.
Brendon says
Well there pretty much is a police station right in the middle it. Does anyone know what they are doing with the Southern Precinct, since they built a new one? Will it be a substation?
Brendon says
***right in the middle “of” it.***
I live in 21015 says
Keep this kind of crap on that side of 95.
NeverCease2BeAmazed says
Ok, and you keep your rampant drug use among teenagers over on your side.
I was born and raised in Edgewood. The ONLY time I have been inside a police station was on a Cub Scout tour with my son. <y parents still live in the area, and their neighborhood has very little crime. People have such a skewed opinion of the communities along Route 40, based on one or two areas where the majority of crime exists. Small minds breed snobbery, I guess.
Localguy says
Nice. Drugs and violence ravage neighborhoods of all socio-economic scales, to varying degrees, and all we can do is point fingers. Tell me how quickly that leads to a solution for the problem? Sorry, but in a competition for stupid – both sides lose. Seek a solution that helps everyone affected by these destructive behaviors – then come back and fight over that. I swear, we are our worst enemies.

It’s a shame that if you are caught doing a crime in harford county….you can get time at the local detention center and NOTHING ELSE. You can be charged with a felony and guess what…plea bargain ti a misdemeanor. the SA needs to get tougher on crime and STOP letting criminals off with 2nd degree assault (misdemeanor)and go for the felony. Baltimore County isn’t afraid to prosecute. Why the heck is harford county!
RandomPoster1 says
Bet 5 bucks he is still getting food stamps, medicare/medicade and welfare.
Jeff Labowski says
Level the crime areas and build expensive condos. Push the crime to Cecil County. That seems to be the solution for everyone else. When Baltimore City tore down the projects, low income, criminal gangbangers moved to Harford and Baltimore County, and Johns Hopkins bought up everything. I know not all poverty stricken citizens are criminals, but a lot of criminals live in the poverty sticken areas. Maybe we could fill the crime areas with soldiers like we have in Iraq.
Flame on.
Amused! says
Well for your information my brother nor my family receive state assistance, therefore bring me my five dollars please! I don’t even have to explain to you our families careers! Yes I said careers honey! In fact we don’t even reside in that area! So before you go broke betting your last dollar, get your fact straight! I’m not saying my brother is perfect, but he’s still a human being! And I see all types of people with foodstamp cards at checkout lines, and in my career I see all types of people with Medicare! Too bad my family made too much money for those stamps and Medicare 🙁 our jobs have insurance that we pay for with every paycheck! So again know what your talking about before you say something! Good day!!!
RandomPoster1 says
Dealing drugs and carrying an illegal firearm constitutes a career now? Well you said careers so I guess he is diversified and sells multiple types of drugs?
Still amused! says
Randomposter1, may I ask your profession? You seem to know it all! Could you have been Ms. Cleo in your past life? Or tell me this, what are you doing to better your community besides hiding behind a fake screen name talking crap, about things you have no idea about? If you knew better you would do better! Obviously your still learning, and with that be blessed! Misery loves company! Stop being bitter, you will get much further in life honey 🙂 I’m just baffled at your assumptions, honestly is it because my family is Afro American that we have to be on welfare, and receive Medicare/ foodstamps? Is it too hard for you to believe afro americans do have careers, and can be educated? Do you know we all bleed the same color? So again be blessed!

You can try and spin this on me all you want, but I wasn’t carrying an illegal gun illegally in a known crime/drug area. Also, I don’t have a page dedicated to me in the public page known as MD case search (interesting stuff in there about drug dealing charges.)
So as to your question, a good part of my family is black thank you, and my assumptions are based on the facts presented here in this article as well as the past listed history on a public web page. I’m not even close to a racist (but nice try) but don’t like criminals.
