From Harford County Public Schools:
The Aberdeen High School Dance Team recently traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to compete in the 2012 Cheer Ltd. at CANAM National Dance Team Championships. The team won five first place national titles in senior hip hop, senior jazz, senior lyrical, senior variety and senior open. In addition to their first place titles, the team also placed fourth in senior pom. The event took place March 16th at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and was open to all scholastic, recreation, all star and studio dance teams in the U.S.
Team members included: Charice Scruggs, Elise Galloway, Audrena Henry, Lakeia Hayden, Erica Worthy, Jozlynn Kelly, Shannon Whiteford, Chamyre Hynson, Ariana Tatuem, Charnika Dyson, Leah Talbott, Tameera Turner, Charice Scruggs, Demetri Simms, Ajina King, Stephen Lyons, Hannah Hiob, Ronnivea Winder, Katile Conley, Taylor Robertshaw, Heather Lilly, Natalie Muneses, Dominique Overman, Jasmine Holder, Asia Jackson, Delaney Todd, Jeo Fernandez, Promise Johnson, Ayanna Lattimore, Alexus Lewis and Brook-lynn Williams.

I’m NOT a dancer, but I’ve watched this group (A.H.S. Dance Company) perform on many occasions, and I tell you that this group is amazing! Their moves and synchronicity are beyond what most would consider high school level dancing. National Champions they most certainly are. Congratulations Aberdeen Dance Company!
