The week of April 22-28, 2012, is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW). This annual observance seeks to increase public awareness of, and knowledge among crime victims and survivors about the wide range of rights and services available to people who have been victimized by crime. The theme for the 2012 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is “Extending the Vision, Reaching Every Victim.”
In recognition of the 2012 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, Joseph I. Cassilly, Harford County State’s Attorney, will present “Preventing Crime” – Protecting yourself, your money and your property on Monday, April 23, 2012, at 12:30 p.m., at the McFaul Senior Activity Center, located on West MacPhail Road, next to the MVA, Bel Air, MD
– The following subjects will be discussed:
– Financial Crimes
– Telephone Scams
– Door to Door Scams
– Health-care Fraud
– Identity Theft
– Power of Attorney abuse
– Property crimes
– Physical crimes
Time will be allotted for questions and answers following the presentation.
