A Program Officer from Artspire, a project of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) will present on Artspire/NYFA’s fundraising and support programs, which are available nationwide for artists in all disciplines at every stage in their careers.
Eleanor Whitney, Program Officer for External Affairs and Fiscal Sponsorship will give a presentation that is geared to individual artists across disciplines and emerging arts organizations on Artspire/NYFA’s extensive fundraising and support programs. Visual, performing, literary artists and filmmakers are all encouraged to attend.
Ms. Whitney will present on WEDNESDAY, MAY 9, 2012 at 2 PM at the LIRIODENDRON MANSION, 502 W. GORDON STREET, BEL AIR, MD. The presentation is open to artists across disciplines, including visual, literary, film, theatre, dance/performance, new media and other artists.
Ms. Whitney’s presentation will offer an overview of Artspire/NYFA’s support program for artists available nationally, including NYFA Source and Fiscal Sponsorship. The presentation will allow room for Q&A and follow up with participants.
NYFA Source (www.nyfa.org/source) is the most extensive national online directory of awards, services, and programs for artists. Listings include over 8,000 arts organizations, award programs, service programs, and publications for individual artists across the country.
Fiscal Sponsorship (www.artspire.org) is a critical way for individual artists, artists’ collaborative projects, and emerging arts organizations in all disciplines to apply for funding usually available only to organizations with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
